Ce confiturier résulte d’une thématique sur la confiture, il a été conçu pour que les plus gourmands usagers résistent à la tentation de la confiture. Malgré sa forme rappelant l’escabeau, ce meuble ne peut être utilisé en tant que tel. La hauteur (1m70) mettant les pots de confitures hors d’atteinte, contraint les plus petits gourmands, à grimper sur une chaise. Cet usage illustre alors la citation d’Alexandre Vialatte qui disait « La confiture n’est bonne que s’il faut monter sur une chaise pour attraper le pot dans le placard. »

This jam furniture results from a theme on the jam, it was designed so that the greediest users resist the temptation of the jam. In spite of its shape calling back the stepladder, this piece of furniture cannot be used as such. The height (1m70 putting the out of reach jars of jam, forced the smallest gourmands, to climb on a chair. This use illustrates then the quotation of  Alexandre Vialatte who said « the jam is good only if it is necessary to rise on a chair to catch the jar in the cupboard. »
